Brief Program Summary
The Language & Culture Community is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures, Academic Advising, International Programs and the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The program is designed to promote awareness of diverse cultures and promote the exploration of cultures and languages outside of the classroom. The mission of the program is: "To create greater cultural exposure and awareness through active participation in an integrated living-learning community."

Summary of Facilities and Facilities Budget The Language & Culture Community is located on one floor of a residence hall housing approximately 380 students. The floor has a private lounge.

Summary of Assessment Activities
We have completed a pre-test of the community based on the goals and mission of the program. We have also pre-tested a "control" group to compare the group against. At the end of the year we will conduct a post-test utilizing the same questions.

Residents are required to coordinate at least one activity during the year. Residents are also required to participate in at least two events a month.
