Brief Program Summary
The First Year Connection (FYC) program at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo is a residentially-based program intentionally designed to respond to the transitional needs of first year students. Residents will benefit directly from pre-established outcomes-based programs and services which support the student’s academic experience at Cal Poly. The FYC program addresses the academic, social, involvement and resource needs of first year students and facilitates their adjustment and assimilation into their new living environment and the University.

A wide variety of extracurricular activities are provided to students from hall social and educaitonal events, field trips, recreational activities and competitions.
