Brief Program Summary
The Sophomore Success Program (SSP) is a residentially based program intentionally destined to increase retention rates and academic competence by responding to the specific developmental needs of second-year students as they navigate through Cal Poly. Residents will benefit directly from pre-established learning outcomes and programs/services that support and expand upon the student’s academic experience at Cal Poly. The Sophomore Success Program provides a programmatic structure, which addresses the academic planning, community, and involvement needs of second year students with heightened university expectations and facilitates their transition into a mature and responsible living environment.
