Brief Program Summary
Herget Residential College is a program for first-year students of all majors, designed to integrate learning with community living. Students not only live together; they also share common courses, with several English classes taught in the new state-of-the-art multimedia smart classroom off the Herget lobby. Herget offers freshman a year packed with programs and fun activities—all aimed at fostering self-esteem, academic know-how and community. Summary of Facilities and Facilities Budget Herget is a six-story residential hall situated on a small lake near the University's recreation complex. Women occupy the top three floors and men the bottom three floors. There is a state-of-the-art multimedia smart classroom comprised of a smart board and a multimedia console with instant access to the Internet; a small library; and a spacious lobby with big-screen TV and grand piano.

Herget Theatre Night, twice a semester: students and faculty sign up to attend a campus play; Herget buys their tickets, provides supper in hall, and invites the play's director to attend the supper and briefly talk to the group about his production.
