Brief Program Summary
The Living/Learning Center at Assumption College unites
residence hall living with the classroom experience. Our
facility combines apartment-style living with classroom space
just down the hall and faculty neighbors around the corner.
Each four-person roommate group will participate in a creative
application and interview process during the Spring for the
upcoming academic year. Sophmore, Juniors and Seniors may
apply. Once accepted, students are expected to offer the
L/LC community six programs concerning their project
topic throughout the course of the year. Additionally, each
group has a professor or administrator who serves as an
advisor for their project.

Greatest Challenges for this Learning Community:
Students are extremely excited and entusiastic when they
are accepted into the L/LC. One of the greatest challenges
that the Residential Life staff has faced this past year
was to keep students motivated. Additionally, encouraging
students to get involved and attend other programs besides
their own was also a challenge.
