Brief Program Summary
The Honors Program of La Sierra Universtiy gives special attention to undergraduates of outstanding intellectual and creative ability. Seminars are designed to enrich the general education program, social and cultural activities are planned that enable the student to form close relations with peers and with faculty, and an opportunity to do a project that culminates in an honors thesis is presented. The program serves students of all the undergraduate majors in the university.
Privileges enjoyed by the honors scholar include residence in the honors dormitory for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, providing a stimulating intellectual and spirtual community.

A research or creative project of significance that culminates in a written thesis (or production or exhibition) and an oral presentation. A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 units satisfy Honors Program requirements. May be included in the credit toward a major with the consent of the major department.
