Brief Program Summary
The focus of the Health Enhancement and Lifestyle Management program (HELM) is a healthy and holistic approach to college life. HELM focuses on the six dimensions of personal well- being: emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, physical and occupational. Two graduate students from the Physical Education, Health and Sport Studies department work directly with the program to help create individualized exercise and nutrition programs.

ENG 112: (3) T College Composition and Literation-required for the university liberal arts plan but not required for the program. Sections of the course are offered to program participants and taught in the hall living room.

Summary of Assessment Activities
All themed residence halls at Miami conducted assessments in the fall semester on the general interests and needs of the students in the community as well as their motivations for joining the program. A more general assessment of student satisfaction with their living/learning environment was conducted in all residence halls in the spring.
