Brief Program Summary
Miami's International Living Learning Community is hometo
approximately 100 students, 40% of whom are international
students. Many of the American students are majoring in
international studies or languages. Many are also interested
in or have already studied abroad. Members of this community
broaden their knowledge and perspective of different cultures,
develop cross-cultural communication skills, and develop a
better understanding of the world. Programming and learning
opportunities in this community center on global issues.

All themed residence halls at Miami conducted assessments
in the fall semester on the general interests and needs of
the students in the community as well as their motivations
for joining the program. A more general assessment was done
in the spring on the living/learning experience of all
students in the halls.
