Brief Program Summary
The goal of this co-ed program is to assist residents in
building their own community, developing their leadership
potential, and achieving academic excellence. This program
works closely with staff in the Officeof Student Leadership
and Service Learning and has been described as a community
of activists, scholars, artists and leaders

Composition and Literature. Offered in the residence hall
but not required for the program. Courses are required for
graduation.

This program is focused on leadership development.
It is addressed through the leadership seminar class,
programming in the halls, and role modeling of the
student staff involved in the program.

Summary of Assessment Activities
All themed residence halls at Miami conducted assessments
in the fall semester on the general interests and needs of
the students in the community as well as their motivations
for joining the program. A more general assessment of
student satisfaction with their living/learning environment
was conducted in all residence halls in the spring.
