Brief Program Summary
The Scholastic Enhancement Program provides admission to a limited number of students whose high school records and background suggest they have the potential to do college level work with additional academic and personal support. The residence hall component of the SEP program was initiated in 1996. It focuses on academic achievement, leadership, and retention of the students enrolled in the program. Participants live in a hall along with the program coordinator and are expected to register and complete a minimum of 30 semester hours for the year, achieve and maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA, and gain an understanding of university cultures and resources by the end of the first year. Participation is restricted to students admitted to the university under the SEP program guidelines.
