Brief Program Summary
The Afrikan American Living-Learning program is founded upon the principles of legacy, leadership, community, and academic excellence. With assistance from Office of Minority Affairs, and Residence Life, this community provides a balanced experience for students to strengthen their academic potential, achieve a sense of connectedness to a community, and further develop an cultural identity. Located in Morrill Tower, the program is designed for any student regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender.

Program-Specific Activities & Opportunities The Afrikan American Living-Learning Program gives residents the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the historical, political, and cultural experiences of the African American population through many different formats, including: workshops, lectures, discussions, and social activities of interest to the participating community increased interaction with faculty and staff members access to a mentoring program to facilitate adjustment to the Ohio State campus opportunity to participate in travel programs related to the Black experience in the United States "linked courses" in which students can enroll with other students living in the community an Enrichment Program designed to facilitate a better understanding of the Black experience in the new millennium opportunity to develop leadership to enhance and/or refine skills in relating and motivating the community
